Despite being down to just 45k when the field hit the money a couple levels ago, Steven Lerner ran his stack up to just under 500k. The last hand in level 21 before break, Harrison Dobin mid position opened to 40k pre flop, Lerner from the SB 3-bets to 150k, Dobin moves all in for about 700k to Lerner who has 480k to start the hand. Lerner tanks for a couple mins and eventually makes the call.

UTG Matthew Silberzweig raised all in for 195k, UTG+1 with over 2M in chips Casey Mann calls, action folds around to Rob Goldbaum moves all in over top from the BB for about 1.3 M in chips. Mann tanks and announces out loud, “I feel like you have AK,” but eventually folds. Both players show they indeed do have AK, and Mann says he had folded pocket 10’s. Despite having each other’s outs the board still runs out K high for a chop, and Mann dodges losing about half his stack.
UTG Wen Zhang raised to 40k, he got one called mid position and action folded back to Tony Sinishtaj who moved all in, well covering both players, and Zhang called with about 300k.

A few hands later at another table, past Big Stax champ, Will “the thrill” Failla moved all in pre flop with his pocket Jacks, this time running into pocket Queens held by Alex Queen. With no help from the board, Queen held up to eliminate Failla in 31st place for $3,960.
