Palma may as well have been on a Day 2 buy-in as he only brought 84k into Day 2 play. He quickly established himself by moving up to ~300k-400k and then stayed around that number until midway through Level 22.
Palma got his run started by winning a nice uncontested pot with a 4-bet shove and getting a fold which brought him up to ~800k, about 40 big blinds, before he finally found a big double up.
Weber opened the pot and was 3-bet by Palma. The action folded back to Weber and he 4-bet shoved and Palma easily made the call.
Palma KxKx vs Weber AxQx Pot: ~1.7M
The board gave Weber a Queen on the turn for a small sweat but Palma faded the river and chipped up significantly to an ~85 big blind stack. Weber hits his first speed bump of Day 2 play and is now down to ~2.3M but still in the chip-lead.
