joe palma
Joe Palma, Day 1A Level 11

Palma is up to ~230k and appears to be at the front of the field midway through Level 11. He has a very tough table with DJ MacKinnon, Ryan McKnight, Ryan Eriquezzo, and James Gilbert all in his rotation. Palma is fresh off of a Day 3 appearance in the 300 Main Event that ended very early for a 29th place finish. The Big Stax crusher is searching for his 3rd Main Event win in the last year after chopping the 300 twice in 2017 for ~$180k in total earnings.

ephraim uzan
Ephraim Uzan, Day 1A Level 11

Uzan moved up to ~210k after sending Kevin Grabel to the cage for another buy-in. The two players got it in on a 5♥6♠K♠ flop with Uzan holding A♠5♠ against 10♠9♠ from Grabel. The turn and river bricked out and Uzan win the ~60k pot with a pair of fives.

Uzan has just shy of $80k in live earnings and has previously Final Tabled this event. He took 8th at Big Stax XVI for $34,837 as part of an eight-way chop which went down as his career best score. He is off to another good start in this event and would be happy to find himself in a similar situation on Monday.
