After the elimination of Raoul Cheong in 3rd, the remaining two players agreed to an ICM chop. The final chip-counts were Ciancio with 33.4M and First with 22.725M.

Dan Ciancio had struggled to get over the 12M-15M chip range for some time during short-handed play but once he had hit the 20M mark he continued to get the best of Raoul Cheong until the decisive blow was dealt.

Rich First, Big Stax XXIII 300 Runner-Up

Rich First was participating in only his 2nd tournament after just trying out the format last month for the first time. He remained steady through-out the early going on Day 3 and eventually scored a crucial double up through Hector Jimenez. After that, First peaked at 25M and maintained that stack throughout three handed play for some time without much trouble.

That’s a wrap for the Big Stax XXIII 300. Thanks to everyone who participated and congratulations to all of the winners. The 500 Main Event gets started on Thursday, October 19th. Head to the Big Stax XXIII 300 Hub for links to all the information from this event.
