A couple hands after short stack Keith Warren doubled up his final 155k with KQhh vs pocket 3’s held by Robert Rickards, Warren raised his small blind to 155k and Steven Lerner in the big blind moved all in for about double his stack, and Warren called.

Pre flop in the hijack, Connor Berkowitz raised to 40k, called by Mark-Anthony Gibson in the small blind and Steven Lerner in the big blind.

Gibson: A3
Turn and river are no help to either player for Gibson to hold up and leave Berkowitz with about 5 big blinds.
A couple hands later Gibson hit a back door club flush and was able to get paid off on an oversized river bet for about 175k vs Dusan Starevic who had flopped top pair with the nut spade draw. Gibson currently has about 1.5 million in chips.
Parx regular, Vittorio Abbate was short stacked and went all in pre flop for his final 190k with 33 but ran into pocket Jacks which held up. Abbate on just one buy in, takes 54th place for $2,104. Abbate wanted to give a shoutout to his 4 yr old granddaughter who made Nono his lucky bracelet.
Past Big Stax champions remaining include Greg Himmelbrand and Tiffany Wong. Himmelbrand has about half the chip average with about 300k, he won a 2015 Big Stax 500 and also has a couple second place finishes from about 10 years ago. Wong won summer 2024 big stax 750 followed by a 2nd place finish the following year in the same event. Wong recently lost most of her chips and has less than 10 BB with about 100k in chips. Wong has shown in the past she can run up a solid chip lead, but will need to find a good spot soon to put her chips at risk to double up and avoid elimination.
