Top 5 Shaken Up

Over the three levels since dinner break the Top 5 stacks got an almost entirely new look with the exception of our chip-leader, Benson Tang.

Roberto Ilagan, Day 1B Level 13

Ilagan starts the home stretch in 2nd place with ~270k. Ilagan has career earnings totaling $36.7k and got his best score at the SugarRush challenge in January 2017. He took 1st as part of a five-way chop for $15,125 and will now look for a title on the bigger stage here at the Big Stax series.

Louis Russo, Day 1B Level 13

Russo is a seasoned tournament player and has gotten himself in fine position late in Day 1B. He is now working with ~265k, over 100 big blinds during Level 13. Russo has ~$433k in live cashes with his highlight score coming in a $10k WPT Main Event where he finished 7th for $209k in 2006.

Brandon Vescio, Day 1B Level 13

Vescio is working with ~240k and finds himself in fourth place heading into Level 13. He is at the same table as Roberto Ilagan and could hope to find himself challenging for the Day 2 chip-lead should a big pot occur between them. Vescio has $32k in live earnings and just notched his best score in a Big Stax side-event at the last series. Vescio took the largest share of a 4-way chop in the Double Black Chip Bounty earning himself $6,745 from the prize-pool in addition to any pocketed $100 chips.
