“He Has Heads-Up Chips” -Worm

Greg Weber, Day 2 Level 22

Weber immediately went on a rampage after the redraw and eliminated three players in two hands.

First, Jeff Chang opened and was 3-bet by Weber on his immediate left. Chang moved all-in for ~400k and was called by Weber who would have a dominating position with QxQx vs TxTx and hold.

On the very next hand, Gagliano opened and Weber 3-bet on his immediate left. Wai Ngai was extremely short and called for less with just 90k. Gagliano called Weber’s 3-bet and they would be heads-up in the side pot. The flop came Qx7x4x with two clubs and Gagliano moved all-in for his remaining stack, ~300k. Weber made the call and would have a bit more of a sweat this time.

The turn and river bricked out for Gagliano who held the flush draw against the top-pair and Weber would improve his stack to ~3.26M. While not exactly heads-up chips, that is worth about 15% of the total chips in play and puts him in a dominating position until the stacks consolidate much later in the event.
