“He Announced He Was Going To Punt”

Tony “Tiger” Tonzelli was just the beneficiary of a player who was determined to get his money in during the final level of play.

The action started with an open from the hijack and Tonzelli shoved ~120k from the cutoff. The button looked at his cards and quickly called for ~105k total leaving Tonzelli worried if he would be ahead. The original raiser folded and they tabled a coin-flip situation.

Tonzelli A♣10♠ vs Villain K♦J♠ Pot: ~220k

Board: 8♠5♣9♠4♣5♦

Tonzelli holds with Ace-high and looks to be in good position to bag for the second straight event in a row. He also cashed the Double Black Chip Bounty and the recreational tournament player has been running well so far this series.
