The first break is coming at the end of Level 17 and the blog will begin to track the new Top 5 stacks in the field. Here’s one last look at one of the big stacks that was missed during Day 1 action.
Giannattasio bagged the largest stack on Friday’s Day 1B and comes into Day 2 in 3rd place with 721k. He has been moved from his starting table and finds himself in a good seat with Day 2 chip-leader John Lichtenstein on his immediate right. Giannattasio will have to do some damage quickly because that table will be breaking towards the end of Level 17 and before the money is reached.
Giannattasio has ~$31k in career earnings with most of his cashes coming right here at Parx. So far this year, he has cashed the 300 Main Event twice with his deepest run being in February when he took 57th for $1,449. He will now look to bank his first 500 Main Event cash and potentially a much deeper run as he has some chips to work with early in the session.
