Late Leaders

Claudius Ferris, Day 1B Level 13

Ferris will start Level 13 with ~320k, in 3rd place on nine remaining tables. Ferris has ~$60k in career earnings with two cashes here at Parx. His best finish came in the WPTDeepstacks 1500 Main Event in 2016 when he finished 19th for $8,683. Ferris is still in search of his first five-digit score and could accomplish that this weekend with a Final Table appearance.

Juan Nieto, Day 1B Level 13

Nieto is the only other stack over 300k heading into Level 13. He has ~$170k in career earnings which mostly came from his big win earlier this year in the Borgata Kick-Off Event. Nieto got in on the 9-way chop earning $153,832 and backed that up with a Final Table in the 1100 Main Event in May here at Parx. He fell short of another major score with an 8th place finish for $10,588 but showed he certainly has the ability to compete deep into a big event on consistent basis.
