- Big Stax XXIII 300 Main Event 8:00 PM
- Level 11 (800/1600/200)
- Day 1D Entries: 723
- Total Entries: 1740
Midway through Level 11 there are a couple new stacks that are approaching the 300k mark.
Jimenez is up to ~290k and is sitting in the same orbit as Larry OHalloran who is still maintaining his big stack creating a deep spot in the field. Jimenez has ~$40k in live earnings but has never cashed a Big Stax event. In fact, he only sporadically puts up results and his last score came in January 2016 at Borgata. He finished 7th in the Black Chip Bounty at the Winter Poker Open for $7,931 and will now look for another big score to add to his resume nearly two years after that result.
Taylor is up to ~280k betting units after eliminating a starting stack with middle pair against his opponents flush draw and two overs. The crucial hold allowed him to keep his momentum and join the top stacks among the room. Taylor has ~$83k in career earnings and a few notable Big Stax finishes. He won the $5k Survivor Event in May of this year and also has a 12th in the 300 and 32nd in the 500. Those two deep runs brought in ~$6k in earnings and some incredibly close calls at a Big Stax Final Table.
