Joe “Worm” Palma is going for his 3rd straight title in the 300 Main Event after taking the trophy as part of a three way chop in both August and May this year. The field would certainly be pleased to see him fail to make Day 2 but he has worked his stack up nicely so far this evening and is sitting on ~150k heading into Level 12. There is some potential for building a big stack at his table as well with chip-leader Steven Sarmiento sitting on his immediate right with over 350k.
If Palma manages to make Day 2 play he will have an opportunity for an unprecedented third straight win in this massive field making him a player to keep an eye on over the next couple of days.
