Early Leaders

  • Big Stax XXIII 300 Main Event
  • Level 7 (300/600/100)
  • Day 1A Entries: 225

There will be three more levels before the dinner break at 6:30 PM. The field is quickly approaching the line of 250 runners for Day 1A and should get very close to that number before the long break.

Here’s a look at the two players who have separated themselves from the field and early and will look to carry their momentum into the critical Day 1A levels this evening.

tyrone hicks
Tyrone Hicks, Day 1A Level 7

Hicks is looking for his second cash in the 300 Main Event and is doing well early in the tournament. He holds the chip-lead with ~180k and is sitting at one of the tables opened early in the session meaning there are some other formidable stacks in his orbit.

Hicks has a short tournament resume consisting of just cashes here at Parx. In total, he has just under $10k in live earnings with his best finish being a 4th in the Saturday Daily Event for $2,978.

jeff gross
Jeff Gross, Day 1A Level 7

Jeff Gross comes into Level 7 in 2nd place with ~160k.

There are a slew of stacks that have crossed the 100k mark but these two players will pace the field for now. The blog will be taking a look at any big stacks that pop up over the next few levels before taking a clear look at the leader-board after dinner.
