Wang was all the way down to just 210k before he started his comeback. First hand was against Henry Meacham. Wang shoved 210k and Meacham isolated him from the small blind with a raise to 450k to get the big blind out. Wang held Q♦10♣ against A♦8♠ and the board ran out 2♣10♦4♦10♥Q♥ to get him the initial double up.
Just a few hands later, Vinny Pahuja opened from under the gun and Neal Gay flatted him in the cutoff. Wang was in the big blind and moved all-in for ~500k which got Pahuja out of the hand. Gay made the call to put him at risk once again. Wang held the AxQx against Gay’s KxQx and the board ran out Ace-high to give Wang the pot. He has fully recovered and now has ~1.6M, about 16 big blinds.
