Rivkin Gets Three Streets

With a smaller field than Day 1 flights of the 300 or 500, there is a chance to find some interesting hands over the last few levels. Here’s a rare look at some of the Day 1 action…

Jason Rivkin, Day 1A Level 11

Tom Thomas opened the pot from middle position with a stack of ~170k. Jason Rivkin was on his immediate left with a stack of ~90k and 3-bet to 10k total. Thomas called the 3-bet and the players were heads-up.

Flop: 10♠2♣J♦ Pot: ~24k

Thomas checked. Rivkin bet 8600 and was called.

Turn: 6♥ Pot ~41.2k

Thomas checked. Rivkin bet 14.2k and was called.

River: 4♦

Thomas checked. Rivkin fired for a third consecutive street, 20k. Thomas made the call and Rivkin tabled the A♥J♣ for top pair with the best kicker possible which was good enough to scoop the pot of ~81.2k. The safe turn and river cards allowed Rivkin to get value on every street and he chips up to ~160k after the hand.
