Early Leaders

  • Big Stax XXII 1500 Main Event 4:25 PM
  • Level 7 (300/600/100)
  • Day 1A Entries: 135

The smaller Day 1A flight is a bit slower in the early levels due to an excellent structure and 50k in starting chips. There are just twelve tables in action and just a handful of players have gotten to 2x the starting stack.

Dennis Dailey, Day 1A Level 7

Dennis Dailey takes the chip-lead through six with 191k. Dailey has just three cashes on his resume, all of them coming in Parx weekly events. He gets an opportunity now to test his skills in a much tougher field and has positioned himself very well early in the event.

mike lavenburg
Mike Lavenburg, Day 1A Level 7

Mike Lavenburg sits in second after the break with 162k. Lavenburg has very little room for improvement from his run last August in this event. He finished 2nd for $78,912 making it the 2nd time he’s lost heads-up in a Big Stax Main Event. He also finished 2nd in the Big Stax XVI 300 for $49,633 and those two scores make up the majority of his ~$173k in live earnings. Lavenburg looks to continue his success here at Parx and get on the board in 2017 with another major score.

bin weng
Bin Weng, Day 1A Level 7

Bin Weng is the last of the Top 3 with 145k. Weng continues to run well here at Parx after just making a Final Table in the 300 Main Event two weekends ago. Weng finished 5th, just outside of a 4-way deal, for $28,380. He also took 3rd in a $1k event at the Borgata Summer Open for $16,539 and has been on a tear this summer. Weng, now with just over $50k in career earnings, will be a player to keep an eye on going forward.
