Kyle Merron, Day 3 Level 27

Merron took the first of the short stacks. Action folded to his button and he opened to 140k. The small blind Hector Pedraza, with just 580k, flatted from the small blind and the big blind folded out. The flop was AxTx6x rainbow and the action went check/check. The turn brought the Qx and Pedraza moved all-in for 440k and was instantly called. Pedraza tabled J8s for a double gut-shot but was up against AxAx for top set from Merron. The river was a brick and Merron scooped up the 10 big blind stack.

Hector Pedraza is eliminated in 24th place for $3,912.

The next to go was Geno Raman who grinded the short-stack valiantly for just under four hours on Day 3. In the end, Raman ran into a massive cooler regardless of the size of the stacks. Raman got in his last ~900k with KxKx against Friman Villalona’s AxAx in a button vs small blind situation. No help for Raman and he is out, Villalona is up to ~4.7M.

Gene Raman is eliminated in 23rd place for $3,912.
