Andrea Finkelstein held the chip-lead with ~330k coming into the post-dinner session. Here’s a look at the rest of the lead pack:
Randy Barry comes into the post-dinner session in 2nd place with ~280k. Barry plays primarily Big Stax events and has worked up ~$12k in earnings over six cashes. His best finish was a 32nd in the Big Stax XVI 1100 for $3,612 and he has finished Top 45 a total of four times in Big Stax Main Events. Barry hopes to get over that hill of making it deep into Day 2 but not finding the bag and is in good shape to give it another try this weekend.
Tom Macari is in 3rd place with ~265k. Macari is only an occasional tournament player with just a few cashes in his career. That hasn’t stopped him from vaulting himself to the front of the pack but it will mean he is uncharted territory going deeper in the event. However, he has the chips and an excellent structure to work in and is just a few hours away from making Day 2.
The rest of the lead pack includes Naveen Chettipally (255k), Vladimir Peck (245k), and Arash Oboodi (250k).
