mike linster
Mike Linster, Day 1B Level 7

Mike Linster is the chip-leader thru six with ~205k. He was playing late into Day 1A but busted during the last level forcing him to attempt another bullet today. Linster had an excellent summer which was covered during the first event of this series and he has remained at Big Stax XXII. He cashed the 300 and then followed that up with a 5th place finish in the $430 bounty, just outside of a 4-way chop that ended the tournament.

paul spitzberg
Paul Spitzberg, Day 1B Level 7

Paul Spitzberg lands in 2nd after the break with ~165k. Spitzberg was last seen on the blog making a deep run at the Big Stax XXI 1100 Main Event. He bowed out of that event in 24th place for $3,529 then posted two solid scores over the summer before making his return this week. Spitzberg finished 8th in the $1k Seniors Championship at the WSOP for $69,552 as well as winning the $465 Seniors Event at Aria for $23,667. Those two scores raised his career winnings to ~$856k and gives him some momentum heading into this month’s series at Parx.

ben fansler
Ben Fansler, Day 1B Level 7

Ben Fansler rounds out the Top 3 with ~132k and leads a group of well known players that are right on his heels. Fansler has ~$18k in live earnings coming entirely from events around Philadelphia. His best score is from one of his five Big Stax Main Event cashes when he reached 13th in the 300 for $3,910.
