Frank Ferrigno, Day 1A Level 7

Frank Ferrigno holds the chip-lead with ~160k, 4x the starting stack. Parx has been Ferrigno’s main stomping grounds and has played host to his last nine cashes dating back to 2013. His best finish was in the Big Stax VI 500, taking home $39,606 as part of a fairly level 4-way chop. In total, he has ~$99k in career earnings, and could cross the $100k threshold with a cash this weekend.

Right on his heels through the first six levels is Joe Cashen (155k). Cashen has been plastered all over the blog so far this series having built multiple Day 1 stacks. He parlayed one of those stacks into a 16th place finish in the 300 Main Event and will now look to make his 2nd deep run of the series.

Chi Jeon, Day 1A Level 7

Chi Jeon is in clear 3rd with ~145k and leads a handful of players who fell in the 100k-120k range at this stage. Jeon is primarily a cash game regular here at Parx and has just two tournament cashes on his resume. They both came in the $340 PLO Side Event at Big Stax XX and Big Stax XXI. He took 6th for $1,397 and then a few months later he was part of a 5-way chop earning $3,940 for his back to back performance. Jeon looks at add a no-limit cash this weekend and is well on his way to finding a bag this evening.
