4th Place- Frank Williams $50,843

In what is almost certainly one of the greatest feats in the history of tournament poker, Joe Palma has taken back to back titles in the Big Stax 300 Main Event. In May, he took 1st as part of a 3-way chop for $60,675 and just three months later he negotiated a 4-way chop taking 1st for $120,000.
After the elimination of Bin Weng in 5th place, the four remaining players stopped the clock to discuss a chop. The final chip counts looked like this:
JOSEPH | PALMA | 56,725,000 |
THOMAS | MCMAHON | 12,700,000 |
FRANK | WILLIAMS | 7,650,000 |
TYREEM | WILLIAMS | 7,300,000 |
Palma was given $120,000 of the possible $126,048 which was allotted for 1st place. The remaining three players negotiated their share and came to a quick agreement.
This week’s Big Stax 300 Main Event was an historic turn-out for Parx. The record breaking number of entries (2805) set up today’s field for a long and grueling battle. In total, it took 16 hours of play to reach the chop which is one of the longest Day 3 sessions since the structure was changed in this event a few years back. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who participated in the continually growing Big Stax series.
