The turnout for Day 1A has come with some talk around the room about the potential of a record setting field. With three more starting flights left to play, including a massive Saturday flight, this field could easily approach the 2700 mark and shatter the previous record for the 300 Main Event of 2557. Such a turn-out would bring a six-figure payday in the lowest buy-in of the Main Events.
Quintana has positioned himself nicely to be in the running for such a payday early in the event. He has worked up a stack of ~225k and has joined a big group of players in the 200k range. Still no stacks are over 300k but that will likely change before the last break of the evening coming up in just over half an hour.
