Sean Carlson, Day 1C Level 9

Sean Carlson made the intial leader-board after level six with ~145k and is still working with a similar stack. He has $166k in career earnings but is making one of his first appearances here at Parx. His biggest score comes from a 2nd place finish at the WSOP Circuit event in Mashantucket. Carlson earned $77,201 after losing to another competitor in today’s field Soheb Porbandarwala heads-up.

Carlson also brought to light one of the newer TDA rules that has been getting messed up at various rooms on the circuit. In a hand where a player bet the river and was called, the bettor mucked his cards conceding the pot. The old rule meant that the caller must still show his cards to win the pot but now it has changed to allowing that player to muck. This is due to the initial bettor denying the caller the right to information about their hand, and in turn, that player no longer must reveal information themselves.
