Keith McCarrol, Day 1A Level 14

Keith McCarrol has ~280k heading into the last two levels and that stack came from Jesse Cohen in a nasty three-way confrontation. McCarrol and Cohen played a massive side-pot when they both flopped a set. McCarrol had the higher set and held, however, Mike Kemeter was short and was in the pot with a flush draw. Kemeter made his draw snagging a significant main pot away from McCarrol. McCarrol is still doing quite well though with just shy of 100 big blinds during Level 14.

McCarrol is another local tournament player and has racked up $43k in earnings mostly in the Philly area. His best score was in the Big Stax 200 standalone event where he finished 4th as part of a chop for $21,000. On top of that, he has a slew of cashes in the Big Stax events but is lacking another deep run on his resume. That could change in a few days time as McCarrol has nearly punched his ticket to Day 2 play, and hopefully further.
