Two Stacks Side By Side

Zhenjie Hou(Left) and Joseph Smith, Day 1B Level 12

Zhenjie Hou (~240k) and Joseph Smith (~260k) make up a very deep corner among the 12 open tables. There still isnt a stack over 300k in the field, although that may change before the last break of the night coming up soon. The potential is there however and Smith has the positional advantage in the battle. They just played a blind vs. blind spot that Smith was able to take down on the turn with a small raise. Similar spots will certainly be coming up over the final three levels of action.

Hou is coming off a 53rd place in last weeks Big Stax 300 for $1,628. That score added a bit to his career earnings of $106k and he is back at it in the 1100.

Smith is still searching for his first score of 2017 to add to his $58k in live earnings. His most recent win came last November in the Saturday Daily Event at Parx for $8,718 and if he is the last man standing once again, he will stand to earn much more than that.
