Matt Zambanini, Day 1B Level 7

Matt Zambinini is working with ~160k betting units that he accumulated in the beginning of Level 7. He finds himself at a tough table with Thai Ha and Kane Kalas although is in a familiar seat that he occupied for the all of his Big Stax 300 Day 1 play. He is no stranger to any seat in the tournament area however, and is looking to go back to back in the May Big Stax 1100. Last year, he finished in 5th place for $28,355, the largest score of his career. In total, he has $189k in live earnings and is a threat in this field to make a deep run.

Jerry Maher, Day 1B Level 7

Jerry Maher was on the leader-board heading into Level 7 with 147k. That was good for 3rd place at the time and is an excellent start for his Day 1 session. He has the experience to use those chips well with over $376k in live earnings. He plays primarily at Borgata where he scored his last big final table during last year’s Spring Open. He finished 2nd in the $1k 6-max for $24,120 and followed that up with a cash in the WSOP Main Event for $28,356. Those added up to some nice profit for Maher and he is in search of his next 5-digit win here at Big Stax XXI.
