Testing Randomness

Joe Kent, Day 1A Level 11

Joe Kent mentioned earlier that the blog can be a jinx on someone’s performance. Now he will have to test the theory personally after chipping up to ~210k in two levels since dinner.

Kent has $29k in live cashes and recently was put in one of the bigger spots of his career. In the Spring Poker Open Main Event at Borgata, he finished in 37th place for $7,149 and a taste at a deep run in a high stakes event. That became his largest score after turning his game up in 2017. He also has a 14th place finish at Sugarhouse in the $500 Philly Poker Classic in March.

Kent will take his recent experience and hope to parlay it into another chance here at Parx. The rest of us will get to see if “the curse of the blog” has any merit or if randomness will prevail.
