Jeff Wicker opened the pot for a standard raise and was shoved on by Mike Azzaro who had gotten a bit short. Once the action was back on him, he easily made the call and they tabled their cards.

Wicker K♣K♠ vs Azzaro A♠Q♥ Pot: ~600k

Board: 3♦8♥8♠K♦2♣

The King on the turn sealed the deal for Wicker and he chips up to ~1.15M. Azzaro got off to a very quick start on Day 2 and held a chip-lead early. Unfortunately, his high-water mark was just over 1M and he couldn’t get it going any further.

The field is now down to seven tables and eliminations are coming much slower now. The play remains extremely deep with the average stack at just under 40 big blinds. The structure offers many complex tournament spots and skill testing decisions to be made. Stay tuned to see some of the most important pots of Day 2 take place over the next few hours.
