Manuel Jaime, Day 1C Level 13

Manuel Jaime was just outside of the chip-counts a couple of times throughout Day 1C. Now, after catching a full double up, he is at ~250k and in fine shape heading into the final two levels.

The board read 5♦4♣J♠K♦3♣ with ~100k in the middle. Facing a bet of 75k, Jaime immediately put his entire stack across the line. After waiting patiently to find out if the bet had already covered his stack, he tabled the 6♣7♣ for the nuts. His opponent announced he was bluffing with Q-high and Jaime secured the pot.

Jaime is fresh off of a huge win in the Borgata Spring Open Almighty Stack. He took the outright win for $76,895 and is certainly riding high coming into this month’s Big Stax. He now has career winnings totaling $92k after securing his first major score.

  1. He did not catch a bluff. He Rivered the nuts after calling 50k on an open ended 7 high
